Get to Know the Sisters Behind Meraki Collective!

Deidra Baker

Deidra is a busy working Mom to two cute (and fashion forward) kids. Her little family is her inspiration, motivation, and biggest source of happiness in life.

Despite her crazy schedule of balancing a full time corporate job and taking care of crazy toddlers, she always finds the time to dress up for every occasion. She believes in the importance of looking your best in order to feel your best. She truly embodies the meaning of Meraki and puts a piece of herself into her work in the corporate world, as a mom, and as a creator and cofounder of Meraki Collective.

Deidra is everyone’s hype girl and can make anyone feel celebrated! It is her mission, especially as a mom to a two year old girl, and oldest sister, to make every woman around her feel confident and beautiful.

She is the party planning queen and will find any reason to celebrate with no detail left unnoticed. She believes in creating a look for every occasion! (Whether that is a menu, decor, an outfit, or all of the above).

Her style is fun and girly! Classy with a dash of glam. She is ALWAYS put together, but she is not afraid to break out the daisy dukes and cowboy boots if necessary.

Hailey Avery

Hailey has loved all things style and fashion for as long as she can remember. Her first style icon as a little girl was ironically Cruella De Vil (it’s hard to deny her fabulousness).

Hailey is happiest when dressed head to toe in tulle, feathers, and sparkles (bonus points for pink) while brunching with friends, or rocking a tried and true leather jacket on the back of a Harley with her hottie husband. She does all of her best thinking and outfit planning on Harley rides.

She is a firm believer that you can never be overdressed for an occasion and that developing your own style is a form of art. Her shoes are her prized possessions and are currently taking over her closet. She is expecting her first baby girl in June and can’t wait to pass on her love of fashion (and good shoes) to her daughter!

She is passionate about helping others cultivate their own style and finding the courage to dress true to who they are. Whether they are dressing themselves or their homes. She believes it takes soul, creativity, and love to develop your own style. She lives by Gore Vidal’s quote “Style is knowing who you are, what you want to say, and not giving a damn.”
